Reminder to all students that the pilot scheme to return the campus bus is still underway. Students demanded that we do something about the removal of the bus, and we took your concerns to the University who acted on these. For the campus bus service to remain, we have to provide the providers and the University with usage figures that show how often and when you use the bus service. The timetbale is below.
The campus bus is back on after the January break, and will run through to Easter break. The bus runs half hourly between 5.00pm and 11.00pm, Monday to Friday, throughout usual term times.
The bus route is a loop that starts at the former Castle Irwell student accommodation, then to Adelphi campus, Bramall Court and onto University of Salford Peel Park campus and past the Students' Union, onto John Lester and Eddie Coleman accommodation, the Salford shopping precinct to Frederick Road campus, and finally finishing the circle where it began at old Castle Irwell.
You can also use the 50 bus service, which gives Salford students free buses around the campus and to Media city. To get your free ride, just show your student ID card to the driver when you get on.
Make sure you support this service and send any feedback to USSU-president@salford.ac.uk
