Do you need some confidential advice or information on sexual health or contraception? Are you worried you may have an infection? Then come along to the SHINE (Sexual health, contraception and HIV) service free screening and advice event.
Our friendly and approachable nurses will sort you out with a quick STI check and some confidential advice as well as information about NHS sexual advice services in Salford.
They will be based in the entrance to University House on Wednesday 5th October.
If you are sexually active, you really should get tested for STI's on a regular basis. Generally you should get tested once a year but if you’ve had unprotected sexual contact with a new partner it’s best to get tested as soon as possible.
If you are registered with the Medical Centre on campus you can get tested there. Otherwise the Lanceburn Health Centre (http://www.srft.nhs.uk/about-us/depts/shs/contact-us/) is just round the corner and they hold regular drop-in clinics 2pm – 4:30pm and 6pm – 8:30pm on Tuesdays and 2pm – 4:30pm on Thursdays.
