S.E.E. STUDENTS: Get involved with the Manchester Science Festival!

Salford Students have the exciting opportunity to get involved with the Science and Industry Museum’s annual science festival!

It’s a really fun way to spend a day and a chance to get a recognisable name on your CV (which can be particularly useful if you’re considering a career in the sciences).

You can choose to volunteer however much you want between 21st to 30th October for City of Trees – a conservation charity running an exhibit at the festival.

The exhibit will be based in the historic 1830 Warehouse and will focus on getting younger generations involved in science and conservation.

You will be helping in a seed planting workshop where children get to take the seed home, nurture it and bring the sapling along to a community planting event. You will also be helping demonstrate an interactive model of the benefits of planting trees!

Sign up to get involved through the Salford SU Volunteering Portal, or if you have any questions, get in touch with Tasha at City of Trees at Tasha@cityoftrees.org.uk.
