Sexual Assault Awareness Campaign

Empower

Sharing Stories, Pushing for Change!

📆 Thursday 27th April
⏰ 6pm – 9pm
đź“Ť Northside, University House

This event is for you to share your experiences, or have the privilege of sitting back and listening to others. Either way, you’ll be a part of an incredible community of empowered individuals.

You can take to the safe stage however you may choose to – the limits to expression are endless! For example, you could…

🎙️ Speak your story!
🎵 Sing a song that means something to you!
🎨 Share some art!
✍️ Slam some poetry!

Or something totally different!

But whatever you contribute to this evening, you’ll always be in control – the event will be a private, safe space for all who attend. You might even be inspired to write on the night!

We’ll also be displaying our mural at this event, made up of plaques designed anonymously over two weeks. We’ll have loads of spare plaques for this event, so if you’re inspired by the evening’s proceedings, you can put pen to paper.

So join us on the evening of Thursday 27th April and come connect with others who have a story similar to your own, and/or be deeply moved by those who have something different to share.

If you want to take to the safe stage, get in touch!

Be a part of our MURAL

We want you to join our anonymous art project!

We’ve set up a safe space for people to come and share their experiences. Simply draw or write on a plaque something that means something to you and you feel empowered by.

Check out some examples!

All plaques will then be displayed in a mural at our empowerment event… So come and be a part of it!

Sip and Draw

A feminist evening of art creation and beverages!

Fancy some destress time away from your studies?

Want to find an artistic avenue to channel your grievances with our modern day society?

Then this is the event for you!

Tickets are free on our website – come along to the Southside Wellbeing Hub and help us create artwork that is going to feature in our Sexual Assault Awareness Month mural.

All students are welcome, so invite your friends, listen to some chilled music, draw and have a drink! 🍷
