1) Sign up

Register on our volunteering platform, tell us what you're interested in and when you're free. You'll be asked to make a profile when you select a role from our Opportunity Finder

2) Step up

On our Opportunity Finder you can find SU volunteering roles in which you can support your fellow students, plan their sports and societies activities, and represent their views to the university and beyond. You can also find roles with local community partners that do amazing work and prioritise the volunteer experience.

3) Skill up

During your time as a student volunteer, you're going to smash it on behalf of your fellow students. You’re also going to ‘Crash and Burn, Learn and Grow’. Want to skip straight to the ‘Learn and Grow’ ? Keep. A. Journal.

Keeping a reflective journal has been proven to increase your IQ, make you more mindful, and help you achieve your goals. Also, it makes you look good in yellow.*

Salford Students Volunteering has an online platform where you can do this. Apply for your volunteering role on our Opportunity Finder and start adding your timesheets today. Follow this link to find a how-to guide on using our reflection system

*Writing a journal may or may not make you look good in yellow.
