Student Ambassador
About organisation / project
One for the World is a global charity with chapters in more than a hundred universities worldwide, although only four in the UK! We aim to empower students to make an impact by donating 1% of their income to the world's most effective charities, as well as starting on-campus conversations about how we can have the biggest impact, where we should direct our money, time and energy, and what it means to be effective anyway.
We are always on the look-out for friendly, enthusiastic individuals to be Student Ambassadors- people who help us spread the One for the World message in their sports club, hall of residence, course, or any other group you can imagine! Student Ambassadors get full training in One for the World, what we do, and how they can best help us. In return, we ask that they attend speaker events, and bring a friend! We also run a yearly Pledge Week where we reach out to the student community in-person and help spread the message.

If you're interested in One for the World, the role can be as big or small as you want- we're happy for people to take the pledge, attend a few speaker events, and tell their friends about us, and we're happy for people to apply to organise local events, produce marketing materials, or apply to join the main committee. We're still a young society and there's lots to be done, but we're a very friendly, organised, and flexible bunch so there's always time for a chat before and after meetings.
