Elections 101
So, you’re already a student leader, why not become a leader of your Students’ Union. This session will provide an overview of the Students’ Union elections, key dates, useful information about how to plan a campaign as well as some insider info about what Salford Students are looking for. So if you are planning on being a candidate or even if you are still undecided, this session is one not to be missed!

This session is all about mental health. Focusing on a couple of sub categories within mental health, the session will hopefully teach you a bit more about tell-tale signs, coping strategies, etc. As a leader it is important to look after yourself too, so we will touch upon self-care too.
Period Poverty: How to fight it locally and nationally
Launching a grassroots campaign to get money from the University, detailing what work we have already done and what work there is to do. It will raise awareness of the issue and exercises and activities will reveal that it is an issue that students face and as a whole, people face across the country.
Step up and step in! The Bystander Effect, Community & Leadership
Have you ever been concerned about a situation and wanted to help... but didn't? You're not alone. This situation is more common than you might think, and is known as the Bystander effect. In this engaging session you’ll learn about simple steps to help you step up and act in a situation like this.

For events taking place in Atmosphere bar or at night clubs, entry will only be permitted for those over the age of 18.
Ticketed events:
Ticket holders must be a current student at the University of Salford, or accompanied by a current student at the University of Salford who is named on the ticket.
Tickets can not be returned or refunded. Tickets may be exchanged provided the recipient of the ticket is a current student at the University of Salford. Tickets exchanged to non-students will be deemed void and entry will be refused.
Club Nights:
Student ID must be shown be shown on entry.
Alcohol purchased outside the venue may not be taken inside.
Security reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone they deem to be heavily intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances (including laughing gas). Security also reserve the right to eject anyone they deem to be causing a disturbance, acting in a violent manor, handling illegal substance or in any other way violating the rules of the venue.
